Confirmation will be Celebrated with Archbishop Sartain at the 5pm Mass, Saturday February 4th, 2012. Please pray for our teens and adults as they make the final preparations for this Sacrament. Please note, this is a much longer Mass (about 2 ½ hours) then usual. If you have little ones, you may want to consider attending a different Mass that weekend!

Mission to Yakima Stock Certificates Were e-mailed out to all Yakima Mission families. If you didn’t get yours, please contact Sara right away. All stock returns are due February 12th at the Mission Breakfast!

'Strengthsfinders'  Making a New Year’s resolution? Resolve to become a better you, by discovering and using your God-given talents to enhance your home, work, community, and spiritual life! Introductory Session is Thursday, Jan 19 from 7:00 - 8:30 PM (Rm 128). 4-week Workshop Sessions are Saturdays, Jan 28, Feb 4, 11, and 18 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Rm 128). Volunteer needed to assist with parish communication about Holy Days of Obligation. Involves calling/emailing parish staff about church schedule and sending consolidated information to bulletin editor and webmaster. LENTEN MISSION COMING SOON
Christmas is barely over and we are talking about Lent? Only because busy calendars need to make space early on for things that are important. The First Sunday of Lent is February 26th and we will begin our Lenten Mission, this year with Brian Casey as our guest presenter. Brian will be here for all the Masses that weekend and will do the mission from each evening from Sunday through Wednesday, February 26-29th from 7:00-9:00 PM. Brian is a national speaker with a warm personality and a clear message that is easy to understand for all ages. Please mark your calendars so you don’t miss this opportunity to learn. Childcare will be available for little children.

WOMEN’S RETREAT DAY COMING IN LENT
Remember when Camille Pauley was here last fall and gave a reflection at Mass on the right to life? Her message was so powerful and profound that she literally changed perspectives and lives for many who heard her words. We are pleased to bring her back to St. Stephen’s for a women’s retreat day on Wednesday, March 14th from 10AM – 2PM. Lunch and childcare are provided and the cost is $20 person. Scholarships are available. Be sure and mark your calendars now! Childcare will be available.
