24 hour Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Friday May 4th is First Friday for the month....Please consider making a holy hour in adoration of our Lord Jesus in the Blessed
Sacrament. We all come to Jesus with our praises, our thanksgiving, and our needs. Adoration will be in the chapel from 9 AM

NEEDED – Someone for flower sprucing once a month
We need someone who will come in one Saturday a month between 3:00 and 4:30 PM to spruce up the flowers prior to the weekend Masses.  If you can do this, please call Cynde at 253-631-1940 EXT 104 or cyndebosshart@gmail.com

Pentecost Celebration Help Needed! - May 27th is Pentecost Sunday and Saint Stephen's will be celebrating with a multicultural Mass at 11:00 am followed by a "Pentecost Potluck."  We are in need of people to share their native culture through traditional dress, language, and food.  If you would be willing to read an intercessory prayer in your native language (other than English) at the 11:00 am Mass on the 27th, or prepare a large quantity of your favorite native food for the Pentecost potluck to follow please contact Kim Anderson at yahya2020@comcast.net or Dori Fajardo at dbfajardo@aol.com.

Come to Eastside Catholic on Friday, May 4 at 7 p.m. for an evening of beautiful singing by Whiffenpoofs, the world's oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group and one of Yale's most celebrated traditions. GARAGE SALE - We need your support! If you have moving boxes, tables, or cloths racks that the parish could barrow that would be a great help so that we wouldn't have to rent them and could keep the money saves for our programs. I you're able to help contact Outreach.
     
CATHOLICISM SERIES  - Every Wednesday morning of the month of May. We will be showing the first 5 episodes with a Scripture and Catechism study to follow with discussion. We will reconvene at a later date with the latter 5 episodes and study. Tell your friends, and prepare your hearts to go deeper into the richness of our holy Faith. Bring your Bibles and Catechisms! Referendum 74 - Here at St. Stephen's we will be supporting this referendum to uphold the definition of marriage in our state. If we attain enough signatures before June 6th then we'll be able to vote on the issue. After the Masses this weekend in the Narthex there will be someone ready to aid you if you choose to do so in signing the petition and giving your support in defending the truths of the Faith.

St. Stephen the Martyr  Job Assistance Ministry meets on Wednesdays  from 7:30-8:30 pm in the Outreach Annex.  
Fellow parishioner, Timothy Mullner (author of a “Spiritual Guide for the Unemployed”)  shares his experiences  to help all who are striving to find stability and meaning amid uncertainty. This support group offers prayer, encouragement, resume writing, networking, interviewing, marketing plans and more. Annual Baby Shower!  Central Deanery (All of King County) of the Seattle Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women invites ALL Catholic Women to the ANNUAL BABY SHOWER to benefit Pregnancy Aid of WA and the Gabriel Project. Please come on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11am to the St. Stephen the Martyr Social Hall.  Bring a new or gently used item for baby or mom.  Diaper Bags, Bath towel sets, and baby toiletries are especially needed.
