We're Back!!!

Immaculate Conception Mass (Holy Day of Obligation) is Saturday Dec 8th at 8:30 AM. Vigil Mass is Friday at 7:00 PM.

Advent Day of Reflection Saturday Dec 15th 9:30-12:30 (Mass at 8:30 with light refreshments after Mass). Join Fr Mark Watson for and Ignatian Meditation on the Incarnation.

Sr. High Quest is Coming January 11-13th  All 9th-12th graders are welcome. If you are in the Confirmation program, remember that this is REQUIRED by the Archbishop in order to be Confirmed!

Grief Support 
If you are grieving the death of a loved one, come find strength and compassion with the St. Stephen’s Grief Support Group on Sunday, December 16th from 1:00-2:30 pm in the Chapel. Our topic will be "Depression / Getting the Help You Need." For more info, contact Sharon Rasmussen at 425-228-1437. “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” Isaiah 40:31   

Save the date—Tuesday, January 22nd March for Life in Olympia:  9:30 AM Mass with Archbishop Sartain, St. Martin's University, Lacey and noontime rally on the capitol steps in Olympia.  Watch this space for information on bus transportation from St. Stephen and neighboring parishes.

Widow & Widower Activities: The annual Christmas dinner will be held at the Fairwood Country Club on Wed, Dec 12th, at 6PM. The

St. Stephen Housing is sponsoring a “Giving Tree” this year to help our homeless families purchase food and transportation.  No gift is too big or too small.  If you would like to participate, select a tag from the tree,  place your donation or card gift  in an envelope with SSHA marked on the front.  You can place your envelope in the collection basket or bring it into the Parish office.  Our families thank you for your generosity!

Metro Incentive Program You’ll see in the bulletin Insert a form to receive FREE bus tickets. We’re asking that you fill out the form and send it in to receive FREE bus tickets then donate them to Outreach by leaving them in the Food Bank Baskets in the Narthex, Thanks!

Catholicism Series - is coming back to Outreach Every Wednesday in January 11am - 1pm

St. Anthony School Open House on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 6:30 pm.  There will be opportunities to tour the school, hear from our Principal and visit with teachers and current parents.

Church Decorating Help Needed  Due to the way the 4th Sunday of Advent and Christmas Day falls, we need helpers to decorate the church and social hall on the following dates:
Saturday, Dec. 22nd at 9:00 AM (decorate the church and chapel)
Sunday, Dec. 23rd at 10:00 AM (decorate the social hall)
Thursday, Dec. 27th at 10:00 AM (remove decorations from social hall)

The church, narthex, and entry areas are large space and require lots of hands to get them decorated.  Please help us, even if only for a few hours.

Screen Operators needed at all Masses! 
To help with this simple but important ministry, contact Bill Swedberg (billswedberg@gmail.com). Training is provided.

The All Saints Adoration Ministry is expanding the daily schedule of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel. We are adding Mondays from 12 PM to 6 PM and Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sat from 3 to 4 PM. Fr. Ed would also like to increase the sign-up of all current and new hours to be at least two adorers. Please see the green sign-up forms in the Chapel and consider
being a member of this important ministry. Questions may be directed to any member of All Saints Adoration Ministry or

The Hospital Ministry is expanding at Valley Medical Center.  St. Anthony's Church currently serves Holy Communion on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  St. Stephen the Martyr wants to cover the other five days.  We are still seeking volunteers for this ministry.  Please contact Maurice Kinzler (253-951-3432 or maurice.kinzler@boeing.com) or Betty Brock (253-631-4205 or babrock@q.com) if you have any questions.
