Eucharistic Minister Training: Sunday, May 5th at 3pm “I am not worthy.” Often I hear that response when asked about becoming a Eucharistic Minister. We are all not worthy to serve the Precious Body and Blood of Christ, but Jesus who died on the cross for us, makes us worthy. It is only through Grace poured out that we are able to serve. If you are a confirmed Catholic, interested in serving the Precious Body and Blood of Christ to others at communion, please join us for training May 5th at 3pm in the church. Training will include attending the 5:30pm Sunday Mass. Sign up at the back of the church to ensure enough materials for everyone. Eucharistic Ministers choose a mass to serve once a month. Job Assistance Ministry! We continue to meet each Wednesday evening from 7:30pm to 8:30pm in the Outreach Building. Everyone is welcome to attend and provide support or share the challenges of the job hunt. Currently we are putting plans together for the South King County Job Fair here at St Stephens on May 15th from 10 to 2pm. We are asking for your help to provide names of employers to invite to the job fair as well as places to advertise this event. Different from most job fairs, we will be having mini seminars for job seekers to attend during the job fair. More information will be coming so keep watching. Calling Active Seniors! Including 50+ and Widow & Widowers: With Fr. Ed's encouragement, a new ministry for active Senior Citizens and their guests begins this spring at St. Stephen the Martyr. Short trips will be offered through, Travel Center. Priceless Senior Jaunts are market priced to include deluxe motor coach transportation, a snacks, admission, taxes, on-board guide and sometimes lunch. They will be offered on the fourth or last Thursday of alternate months. Excursion will include prayer, snacks, and jovial fun. Attendance at the Thursday morning Mass is encouraged with a light breakfast provided. The First Bus Trip departs at 9:30am on May 23, to the Shrine at Mossyrock and Veteran's Museum in Chehalis. Sign-up is $70 which includes lunch and admission. Fliers available in reception. Devotion to the Most Precious Blood We meet every Thursday (except First and Second Thursdays) for prayers and devotions to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. Prayers start at 7:50pm in the chapel. You are welcome to join us for these powerful prayers.
The All Saints Adoration Ministry continues to expand the daily schedule of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel.
