Invitation to plan -  a time to look at different choices for Catholics and ways to celebrate the funeral of a non-Catholic spouse or non-Catholic relative or friend. There are many options for Scripture readings, music selections, and options for a Mass with the body present or for cremated remains at the Liturgy. A panel will be on hand to answer questions.  Three different funeral directors will be present and a guest from the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese. They are coming at Fr. Ryan’s invitation and coming to answer your questions regarding services and estimated costs. This information session will be offered in the St. Anthony, Renton, Parish Hall on November 7 at 9:00 am and repeated at 7:00 pm. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.  Your relatives and friends from other parishes are most welcome.

Thanksgiving Dinner - This year we'd like to try something different in hosting our annual Thanksgiving Dinner. Instead of a few people doing most all the work we thought it would be nice to try pulling together a committee to give others who normally aren't involved an opportunity to serve in a new way. There are many ways to serve in this parish and I can't think of a more rewarding way to be able to do that in such a way as serving during this special time of year for those who may not have any other family but us. In forming this committee it will not take too much considering  we've been serving these dinners for years and we have it pretty much down pat. It just takes willing servants to help put it all together. Below are listed some of the opportunities to serve on the committee. Some would require a person to be present during the dinner and and other not. If you feel as though this may be a way the Lord is asking you to serve his children then please contact Candace in Outreach or if you have any questions.  Needed Service Positions: -Meal Prep Coordinator -Food Donations Coordinator -Shopper -Decoration Coordinator -Media Coordinator-Volunteer Coordinator

Men's Shelter Through the month of November St. Stephen's families and ministries will be serving at the men's shelter hosted at King of Kings Lutheran on the Benson. If you and your family or ministry would like to volunteer to supply and serve a meal on evening during the month please see the sign up board in the narthex and pick up an informational sheet there as well.

Women's Shelter Though our parish family is not yet directly serving the women's shelter at Holy Spirit in Kent we were invited to take part if this would be something you were interested in.  All coordination of the women's shelter going on at this time is done by                                Holy Spirit. 253-859-0444

The Girlfriends are having a potluck on Saturday, November 2 from 6:30 – 8:30 in the parish hall.  All women of the parish (age 18+) are invited to this fun casual event to get to know each other and meet new friends.
