We continue with the Catholicism DVD Series on Wed, Nov 2 at 7:30 PM in the Church. The subject will be “The Ineffable Mystery of God: That Than Which Nothing Greater Can Be Thought".  Please join us for Mass at 6:30 PM, followed by snacks and class at 7:30 PM. Our next classes will be: Nov 16 and Dec 7.

The Visitation Guild will be meeting Wednesday, Nov 9, beginning at 9:45 AM with refreshments in the downstairs social hall. The meeting will begin at 10:15 AM. Attention All Military Veterans and Active Duty Personnel A number of local schools will be offering Veterans' Day assemblies to honor US Military Veterans, including: Benson Hill Elementary (116th Ave SE) at 9:30 AM on Nov 9; Sunrise Elementary (132nd Ave SE) at 9:30 AM on Nov 9; Kentridge High School (SE 208th and 124th SE) at 7 PM on Nov 9; and Northwood Middle School (Petrovitsky Rd and 184th St SE) at 8:30 AM on Nov 10. St. Stephen's Choir Updates
• Join the St. Stephen's Christmas Choir You are invited to prayerfully consider joining the St. Stephen’s Music Ministry to sing at the 8:30 AM Christmas Mass. This adult choir will begin rehearsing Wednesday, Nov 9 at 7:15 PM in the Church. Come celebrate the Birth of Christ with song! • Youth Choir Accompanist Needed The St. Stephen's Youth Choir is seeking an accompanist for rehearsals, which are two or three Sundays per month, October - June, from 10-10:45 AM in the chapel, masses (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Ash Wednesday, for a First Eucharist Mass), and a variety of other parish functions. South King County Young Adults is a new networking opportunity for young Catholics age 18-35 (single or married) in the area. We meet monthly on 2nd Saturdays, alternating among different local parishes. Join us here at St. Stephen's on Saturday, Nov 12, when Fr. Girlfriends Bunco Night All women ages 18 to 108 are invited on Tuesday, Nov 15, at 7 PM in the Narthex. The cost is $5/per person which goes towards a prize fund. Grief Support If you are grieving the death of a loved one, come find strength and compassion with the St. Stephen’s Grief Support Group on Sunday, Nov 20 from 1-2:30 PM in the Chapel. 2011 Adopt-A-Family for Christmas Program St. Stephen's Housing Association (SSHA) currently has 20 families living in its transitional housing. Coming from a homeless shelter, these families are very limited financially and may not be able to purchase Christmas gifts for their families. To help brighten their lives, we have an Adopt-A-Family Program where we ask our parishioners to sponsor a family with modest gifts for Christmas. If you cannot afford to sponsor an entire family, please consider helping a child or two; or, your financial donation of any amount will be combined with others to make this a very Merry Christmas!
